The Weather And Lessons You Can Learn From It

In many parts of southern Nigeria and other parts of the country, it is the raining season (or wet season as some like to call it). During this period there are lots of torrential rainfall, some aptly predicted by weather reports and some starting all of a sudden, you know the type that leaves you drenched from head to toe like a wet rat.
This is the type of rain many love to hate. This is because of its accompanying hassles such as traffic, the cold that comes with being soaked, not to talk of the mess it makes of your hair and hair extensions like Brazilian hair and human hair 🤦♀️😜 (to mention a few). But you see, with how annoying and upsetting it can be when you get caught in the rain, there’s still so much we can learn from it. I’ll share a few here.
Firstly, the storm will pass. Yesterday it rained pretty heavily and continued into the early hours of today. During this period there were times the rain ‘went down’ but later picked up again with a fierce determination. But you know what, it stopped, the skies became clear and soon the stars and moon came out to play. What does this tell you? That situation that looks like it is going to overwhelm you will pass and joy will come again, against all odds. So don’t give up or give in, just hold on.
Secondly, be prepared. Typically the raining season starts from April and lasts till October and may extend till November. With this in mind, it does pay to dress for the weather (sweaters etc.) and equip yourself with the right tools (umbrella, etc.) at the same time. On a deeper level, being prepared means soaking yourself in the word of God, building a relationship with your maker so that you are able and well equipped to stand in the day of adversity. You see, when you are well equipped and cladded, both physically and spiritually you are in a better position and even bold enough to face the ‘storm’. Study the word regularly, pray often and God being God will walk this walk with you in Jesus name, amen.
Thirdly, believe. Yesterday the rain started unexpectedly. I still had to dash out, yet the heavy rain continued. Guess what I did? I prayed. I prayed a childlike prayer that the rain will go down long enough for me to go where I was going. And it did. Sometimes when the storm comes it’s so difficult to believe and trust God. But you see that’s actually what we need the most. Are you looking for where the next rent will come from? Just believe. Are you longing badly for good health? Just believe. Whatever your case is, just believe in the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Remember the good book says when you ask in faith, you will receive.
As I type these words in this paragraph, I can hear the spitter-spatter of the rain again. This too will stop, giving way to warming light of the sun. Yes indeed, the sun will rise and shine again!
Hope you all are nicely tucked into bed. And remember to have a hot cup of milk, tea or coffee or perhaps some hot Ogi and freshly fried Akara to warm you up after a cold raining night 🤗🙂. Cheers.

This is very lovely and inspiring.
