The Sounds Of Easter… A Collection Of Worship Tunes

Easter is the hallmark of the Christian faith. It is the time that seals the deal for eternity. Everything was leading up to this moment and what a moment it is.
I am quite fascinated by the weather during this period. On Good Friday, there’s a dullness about the day, like Heaven remembers and is reenacting the day. By midday or thereabout, the sun suddenly becomes scorching hot from nowhere and then reverts to the dullness all over again. On Saturday, there is quietness about the day, as if nature is watching and waiting. The weather oscillates from cloudiness with the sun refusing to shine almost like it has been a brief from the beginning of time. On Sunday, there is a stillness about the day, a serene atmosphere where you actually hear the birds singing a one of a kind symphony, with the trees and flowers swaying beautifully to the rhythm and the wind whistles and whispers all in one. And today, how beautifully the birds sing, in a higher pitch too as if rejoicing, and the sun out in all its glory and the trees bowing in adoration, all proclaiming the truth to the ends of the earth that the Lord lives!
This season gives us all a reason to reflect and celebrate. It gives us a reason to unwind and temporarily step away from the hustle and bustle of life and just be. It gives us a unique opportunity to connect and reconnect to Divinity, as we are taken back to the essence of who He is and what we are to Him.
Well… well… well… in the spirit of the season, I thought to share my Easter collection. It’s made up of seven songs (number of perfection yeah?) and one more for the road in the spirit of the season. These thrill me absolutely, bringing me to my knees in worship as I fall in love with Him all over again, for placing my sins into the seas of forgetfulness; as I hail the power of Jesus name, and come into the heart of worship, knowing that He not only waited for me, He will come and save me, and though as a King He is coming, I know someday, I will hear the midnight cry when He returns. Wow! What more can I say, Happy Easter everyone from my heart to yours.
