Dancing on Hot Coals

Sometimes it felt like the months weren’t made up of 30 or 31 days. Indeed, there had been moments when I almost threw in the towel. There were also times when like violent waves, the tears hit, eroding whatever little confidence I had mustered as I struggled through the storm.

Time did not stop because I was going through this tough period. Neither did rapture kindly come like I so badly wanted it to at some point. But you know what, God remained faithful, His love encompassing me and His hands holding me up at those moments when getting up felt like one great herculean task.

Through this time, I held on to His words, and I humbly say there was a tiny winy part of me that hoped for God’s will in all of it. Yes! I dare say tiny winy part, so when you all are going through stuff and you feel like letting go but you hear a tiny voice in you that says let His will be done, you’d recognize it.

Being Yaweh’s Kid does not in any way mean you will not pass through tough times, wade through tempest waters or ride through storms. However, you can hold on to His word that you will never go through it alone and that you will come out on the other side in one piece.

As I scribble this, I am amazed at the fact that Christ showed His disciples his hands where the nails went through and they recognized Him for it. This is not to say you will necessarily be scared by what you are going through, but if you bear some scars, liken them to the ranks and decorations soldiers bear. Why? You may ask? Well, you went to war, you came back, and those scars are not to put you down, but lift you up, knowing beyond all doubt that He saw you through, and you did not imagine it all and it did not consume you.

If you are still dancing on hot coals, if you are still going through life’s moments, I pray that you make it through, and came out on the other side in one great piece. I believe in you, but God believes in you more. The coals will become beautiful tunes and you can do a happy samba or any other tune you can imagine in praise to Him soon.

pages-for-life

Hi, thanks for stopping by. I am me and I believe that there is always a sunny side of life regardless of the happenings around us. So that’s what this is all about – not giving up in a world that seems chaotic and uncertain, filling the hearts of many with fear.

I hope as you read through you will find a reason to smile even on a bad day or perhaps get the inspiration you need to get up and fulfill your purpose or simply be encouraged to keep on keeping on.
