A Different View – For You And I

I watched a bus stop and marvelled as buses drove in and out, dropping passengers here and there. Some drivers fought with their passengers and propelled them to get off the bus. While others waited a while for their buses to fill up, as the ‘conductors’ shouted loudly in an attempt to fill up their cars with passengers. Beside these all was the express road or highway as you may call it, as cars drove in and out of the park into it. I felt it was an interesting experience apart from the disrespectful flies which perched every now and then.
It was amazing to note how many gathered at one destination and dispersed to different destinations. It was intriguing to know that passengers got into the bus at one point and got off at another point. It was an amazing mirror of life!
Some passengers got off from a personal car and joined the buses, while some others got off from the buses into a waiting Uber or another bus. Some passengers were all dressed up while others were under dressed yet each one highlighted at their bus-stop or park.
As I watched this, a couple of thoughts and realities ran through my mind. Firstly, never underrate anyone. You see, just as every passenger got into the bus heading in a direction, even though at different bus stops, all passengers were not the same. Indeed! Some were learned while others were not. Some were business owners while others were not, and some were vehicle owners while others were not. A key lesson here is never look down on a person or assume you are all equals, just like all fingers are not equal. Funny enough, a seat mate might just have the solution to your problem if only you are humble enough to reach out.
Secondly, we are not all headed to the same destination. This is so so important to note. When you realise this, you will struggle less. The fact that you all boarded the bus at Ajah does not mean you are all headed to Berger. There is no need to rush or compete. True, buses are limited, but getting all ruffled when going for an interview isn’t worth it. Bros/Sis, cool down!
Thirdly, learn to enjoy the ride! Enjoy the ride from point ‘A’ to point ‘B’. Enjoy the scenery, feast your eyes and expand your mind. Let go of your worries and watch in awe at the creations of God! Take your mind off your fears, and watch the birds fly without any fears. Enjoy the environment, let the breeze touch your face and inspire faith in you! You will be amazed at how many people have gotten great ideas from just letting go and going with the flow on a ride.
Fourthly, be kind. The nation’s economy and things happening all around have hardened the hearts of many, but this does not have to be our story. Be kind to the conductor even if he shouts. Be kind to the driver even it he screams. Be kind to the passenger who ran out of bus fare (or perhaps that’s a story), be kind to the nursing mother who needs you to carry her baby for a second while she prepares a nourishing meal for the baby. Long and short, be nice! It helps the other person and its therapeutic for you.
Finally, learn to be better whether on or off the bus, the Almighty God will thank you for it!
What more can I say? Happy New Month and have yourselves a beautiful new week. 🤗

“Be Kind”
The message hit differently!
May we all take time to enjoy this experience called life, even at the bus stop
Thanks for the piece.
Thanks bro! Indeed, every moment matters.
A reminder that, through dire times, one must not lose the goodness of their heart or give in to prevailing negativity.
Cool read.
Blessings
